For the first time this Sunday we are doing a series through the movies. It is guaranteed to be inspiring, encouraging and challenging. Our purpose is three-fold:
1. We will use blockbuster movies to bring out deep, Biblical truths.
2. This will be a great series to invite your friends to a one-of-a-kind church experience.
3. We are looking forward to seeing more people come to Christ this month.
I would like everyone to come early and get ready for something really BIG! You can pick up your special movie ticket invites this Sunday in the North Groups area.
*Please note that due to legal restrictions Cinematic will not be archived or streamed online. Please, invite a friend and join us LIVE this Sunday and every Sunday in February for this life changing series.

Yesterday I watched “Little Town of Bethlehem” an inspiring true story of three men, a Palestinian Muslim, an Israeli Jew and a Palestinian Christian, in a land gripped by fear, hatred, and division. Expected to be enemies, they strive together to end the cycle of violence.
The movie, made by Ethno Graphic Media, lays out the complex centuries long struggle endured by the people of Bethlehem. It does not attempt to convince the audience that one side is right, but it does encourage non-violence.
The movie echoes the solution that was preached by civil rights activist of the past, Mahatma Ghandi and Martin Luther King. It encourages us to look at all people as God’s creation, created in His image and coming from the same Father. Because of this truth we must take a non-violent approach to solving the issues at hand. These issues are difficult for sure, but can never be solved by rockets or rocks.
Peace will not come by pointing fingers. Peace will come when we practice the lifestyle of the Prince of Peace who was born in this same town over 2,000 years ago. He taught us to love our enemies, to turn the other cheek, and to forgive those who hurt you. He gave a non-violence approach to handling our disagreements.
Being a follower of Christ I realize he is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). And like the author of the most famous song ever written about Bethlehem, Jesus is the answer for all our hopes and fears…
O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight
